DAYTON, Va – Smoke hung in the air near where the Rockingham County Mill caught fire.
Rockingham County Fire Chief Jeremy Holloway said the fire started at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
A feed truck hit a propane tank, busting one of the gas lines off the tank. The fire came from propane burning out of the broken gas line.
Holloway said fire crews shut the fuel lines off and let the tank cool. They also replaced the line for the propane tank. He said the feed was not interrupted by the incident.
Holloway said this type of situation is not unusual.
"We've had some small incidents in the past, but nothing major and this is really not a major incident, just something that occurred," said Holloway.
There were no major damages and no one was hurt.
