Investigators Looking Into Suspicious Death

The investigation is happening at a home on Old Valley Pike (Route 11) just south of Edinburg.

The victim is a 65-year-old woman. She is believed to have lived alone.

The sheriff's office is not releasing the cause of the death at this time, but they say the death of the 65-year-old woman is "suspicious in nature".

The investigation into the suspicious death began at approximately 9:30 a.m. Sunday when a church member called 911. Investigators will be on the scene for the rest of the night.

"There was some reason they were coming to check on the decedent, they came by called 9-1-1 because of the conditions that they saw the house in, our staff arrived and we've been investigating a suspicious death at this point," said Sheriff Timothy Carter, .
