HARRISONBURG,Va. (WHSV)-- Just after noon a trucker allegedly fell asleep behind the wheel on interstate 81 near the exit for route 33.
The Virginia State Police say the driver drove off the road causing his truck to overturn. They also stress that truck drivers need to be responsible with taking breaks. This is something that truck driver Steven Price takes seriously.
"It takes a little bit of time to unwind, maybe, but you still can get eight hours of sleep. You know if you get tired you may have to pull over, but you have to recognize it," said Price.
No one was hurt in this crash. The truck driver, 48 year-old Michael Brown, of Atlanta, is charged with reckless driving.
