Harrisonburg, Va. (WHSV) --- Changes are coming to Eastern Mennonite University. Wednesday, students and faculty got an early look at what they will be.
One involves big changes to the intersection of Park Road, Chicago Avenue and Mount Clinton Pike.
The changes would include renovating the Suter Science building on the campus, making a distinct entrance for the university and adding a roundabout at the intersection of Park road, Chicago Avenue and Mount Clinton Pike.
"There are numerous accidents that have occurred, that occur there and part of the contributing factors is the speed of vehicles traveling on Mt. Clinton Pike//I do think that the traffic circle will represent an improvement," said Daryl Bert, who is the Vice President of Finance at Eastern Mennonite University. He thinks a roundabout will make the intersection safer.
EMU is hoping to start working to improve their science center, beginning on April 1, 2014.
