Early Morning Robbery in Harrisonburg

Harrisonburg Police are on the scene of an early morning robbery at Chanello's pizza, on North Main Street.

Police say the suspect hit the victim on the back of the head, as the victim was trying to get into their car. Police say the suspect then ran off with money.

K-9 units were out trying to help officers find the suspect.As of 3:30 a.m. police have no found the suspect.

On December 30th approx 2:20 a.m. the Harrisonburg Police Department responded to a strong armed robbery that just occurred near the 400 block of N. Main St. The victim was struck on the back of the head, knocking the individual down as the individual was attempting to get into their vehicle. The suspect took an un-disclosed amount of cash from the victim and then fled on foot. The details of the suspect’s description are not available at this time. The case remains under investigation.

The Harrisonburg Police Department is asking for anyone who may have any information regarding this incident to contact the Harrisonburg Police Department at 540-434-4436.
