Edinburg Man Killed in Crash Near Truck Stop

A man from Edinburg is dead after crashing his motorcycle into the side of a motor home Sunday morning.

SHENANDOAH COUNTY - A man from Edinburg is dead after crashing his motorcycle into the side of a motor home Sunday morning.

It happened just off I-81 between Strasburg and Edinburg around 10:30 a.m. in front of Love's Travel Stops.

State police say 75-year-old Charles Collette, who is from Dayton, was pulling a motor home into this truck stop when he crossed in front of a motorcycle.

That motorcycle was driven by 56-year-old Steven Howard Stout of Edinburg. Stout was taken to Shenandoah Memorial Hospital where he died around 11:30 a.m. from his injuries.

Collette is charged with reckless driving.
