STAUNTON, Va. - The annual "Eggstravaganza" took place at Montgomery Hall Park in Staunton Saturday.
The event is put on by the Staunton Parks and Recreation Department and included a small petting zoo, face painting, art and crafts and of course an Easter egg hunt.
People at the event said it's a great way to spend the holiday weekend.
"My family has really always gotten together and done something big for Easter. The family is kind of scattered so when we can get together for big holidays, we make it as big as we can," says Todd Hassett who is a parent.
Around 1,000 people attended.
