West Virginia State Police Sergeant J.A. Amos says a man shot at Hinkle Trucking in Pendleton County, WV, has died.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Tony Sites of Riverton was shot in the throat. He was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police say the suspect, Delmus Dye of Petersburg, WV, tried to shoot his girlfriend who also works at the plant. Sites was hit in the crossfire. The girlfriend was not injured. Police say Sites had nothing to do with the relationship between Dye and his girlfriend.

Sergeant Amos says it appears Dye shot himself. He's in critical condition at UVA Medical Center.
