A former Mary Baldwin College assistant psychology professor serving probation for possession of child pornography is facing a new charge.
The News Leader reports 44-year-old Chadwick Carter Blackwell of Woodstock was charged last month with one count of child porn possession.
Blackwell was three weeks away from finishing three years of probation for a 2009 case in which he entered Alford pleas in Staunton to four counts.
Blackwell resigned from Mary Baldwin in July 2008 after a student reported seeing child porn images on his college computer.

Staunton Police said this is a common trend for sex offenders.
"Sadly it doesn't really surprise us, because people who are preferential sex offenders, pedophiles, they tend to re-repeat. They are repeat offenders," said Lisa Klein with the Staunton Police Department.
Blackwell did not serve any jail time for his charges in 2009.
