HARRISONBURG, Va -- The farmers market is held on James Madison University campus on an outdoor patio.
The market had only three vendors on Wednesday. They sold things like locally harvested honey, pumpkins and bread.
Even with fewer options, students tell us it was easier to get local food when it is on campus.
“The bus I take goes right by one, but I've never stopped because every time I go by, there's no one there. I don't know the hours or anything. But, if it's right here, why not?” said Nicholas Burrows, a JMU student.
The farmers market will be open at least one more day this semester. Students can use JMU dining money to buy food.
