Four family members in Hampton are dead following a domestic incident, including an armed man on a roof who was shot by police.

Hampton Police have identified the victims as 38-year-old Travis Williams, his 38-year-old wife Carla, their 1-year-old daughter Tori, and 76-year-old grandmother Katie Frye.

Carla Frye Williams was originally from Luray. Katie Frye was her grandmother and Tori Williams was her daughter.

Hampton Police Cpl. Jason Price says officers responding to a neighbor's call shortly before 4 a.m. Wednesday found Carla Williams in the street. She had multiple stab wounds and at least one gunshot wound. She died at a local hospital.

As the officers approached the house, Price says they encountered Travis Williams armed with a gun on the roof. He was killed in an exchange of gunfire with the officers.

Firefighters found Katie Frye and Tori Williams in the bedrooms of the house that was on fire. Both died at the scene.
