Fire Fighters Make Progress on Wildfire

PENDLETON COUNTY (WHSV)-- Fire fighters are making progress on a wildfire burning in the Monongahela National Forest, according to a press release from the park's spokesperson.

The fire is now 30% contained, which is an improvement from 20% yesterday. Fire fighters credit the warm weather for some of the progress.

The fire has been burning since Sunday, and has charred about 1400 acres, according to the release. More than 150 fire fighters are on the scene.

Fire fighters are still investigating a cause.
