STAUNTON, Va. (AP) -- Authorities are searching for two inmates who escaped while on work release in Augusta County.
Officials say 28-year-old Joshua Ansell and 36-year-old Shawn Barb walked away while working at the county landfill on Wednesday morning.
The Virginia Department of Corrections says the men are assigned to Cold Springs Field Unit #10. They are not armed or considered dangerous.
Virginia State Police are assisting the Augusta County Sheriff's Office and the Department of Corrections with the search on the ground, in the air and with police dogs. A sighting was reported along Route 11 near Staunton about one hour after they escaped.
Ansell was serving a 13-year sentence for DUI manslaughter: Involuntary, Reckless, DWI and grand larceny.
Barb was serving a 9-year 6-month sentence for credit card larceny, credit card theft, perjury and receiving stolen property.

GREENVILLE, Va -- Two convicts from Cold Springs Correctional Facility walked away from a work placement just south of Staunton.
The Augusta County Sheriff's Office and Staunton Police Department are actively searching for Shawn Barb and Joshua Ansell.
