Fire in Augusta County Destroys Barn

An early morning fire, completely destroys a barn off Keezletown Road in Mount Sidney.

Firefighters on the scene say the call came in at about 12:07 a.m. on Wednesday. Within an hour they were able to put the fire out.

The Captain of the Weyers Cave Volunteer Fire Department says no animals or people were injured in the fire. They have ruled a heater on the tractor was the cause of the fire. They estimate the fire caused about $50,000 worth of damage.
