HARRISONBURG, Va.-- The rain the Valley is seeing Thursday night is a good thing for Fourth of July fireworks set for Friday according to Captain Arthur Miller, Deputy Fire Marshal of Harrisonburg Fire. Captain Miller says the rain helps make the ground wet prior to setting up the firework display and makes things less flammable. Captain Miller and his team is ready to bring in a safe and fun Valley Fourth. Several emergency responders will be helping to set up the firework display, but only a few will actually be lighting the fireworks.
