Five Arrested in Connection to Meth Production

Greenville, VA -- Five people have been arrested by Virginia State Police in the Greenville area in connection with the production of methamphetamine.

Around six Saturday evening, police served several search warrants at a motel along the Lee-Jackson Highway near exit 213 on I-81 as well as a location near the BB&T Bank in Greenville.

During the search, two meth labs were recovered and approximately $400 worth of methamphetamine.

They took evidence that included materials used to make meth. This is an ongoing investigation, but police say there is no threat to the community in this area at this point.

The five individuals have each been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of precursors to manufacture methamphetamine. The arrests and seizures remain an ongoing criminal investigation at this time.
