A fire still burns in the George Washington National Forest.
Park Rangers say the fire was reported around 5:30 a.m. Sunday. As of Sunday afternoon flames had spread to about 100 acres.
The fire is located about three miles northwest of Shenadoah, in Page County, in the Lokey Hollow drainage one mile southwest of Catherine Furnace.
The Virginia Department of Forestry, the USDA Forest Service and the National Park Service, as well as firefighters from outside areas, are working to contain the fire.
