On Tuesday, Aug. 14, Robert Quick, a former Harrisonburg Police Department officer was charged with driving while intoxicated.
At about 1:15 a.m. that morning, Henrico Police Officers responded to a single vehicle accident in the 11000 block of W. Broad Street. Once on scene, the officers saw a minivan on the median in the roadway.
The officers' investigation led to charge the driver of the minivan, Quick, with DWI.
Harrisonburg Police said that Quick was attending a work training session. He was in a city car at the time, but there was no damage. No one was injured.
Quick started working for HPD last December as an evidence technician. He resigned due to the DWI charges.
