Former U.S. Attorney Picked to Replace WV Prosecutor Fired for DUI

Former U.S. Attorney Charles T. Miller has been hired to replace an assistant Kanawha County prosecutor who was fired this week.

Prosecutor Mark Plants hired Miller to replace Scott Reynolds. Media outlets report Reynolds was arrested on drunken driving charges over the weekend and was fired by Plants a day later.

Miller was the U.S. attorney for West Virginia's southern district from 2005 to 2009. He became an assistant U.S. attorney after current U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin was hired.

Miller says he expects to take his new job this summer.
