A 6-year-old girl was treated and released from the U. Va. Medical Center after she was hit by a car Thursday evening in a parking lot.
The collision happened at the Schneider Community Park in Stuarts Draft.
According the the Virginia State Police, the girl leaned down to pick something up out of a driver's sight. That's when the driver of a car bumped the girl. The impact knocked her to the ground.
The 33-year-old driver of the car wasn't charged.
