Giving Money to Crisis Interventional Team Program

Waynesboro Tonight, the Waynesboro city council will discuss appropriating $236,150 of federal money, to a regional crisis intervention team.

the money is to help train police officers with mental health situations. So far some officers have had the training, but the money will go to training more people, including dispatchers and first responders.

The meeting is on Monday at 7 p.m. at the Waynesboro Municipal Building.
