Dozens of people were good neighbors at a golf course Friday.
They raised money for people with disabilities by competing in a tournament. The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors put it together.
More than 40 golfers took the course at Heritage Oaks in Harrisonburg.
All the money raised will go to VAIL. That stands for the Valley Associates for Independent Living. Gayl Brunk, the director of VAIL, said this tournament is a huge help.
"We work with individuals with disabilities to live independently in the community, on their own and learning how to use transportation, budget, grocery shop, coordinate care for individuals that need personal care," said Brunk.
Brunk said they hope to raise at least $5,000 from Friday's tournament. VAIL has helped people for 23 years.
