Good Neighbor Gift Helps Page One

HARRISONBURG,Va. (WHSV)-- Volunteers with Page One spent June 21 accepting donations in front of the Walmart at Harrisonburg Crossing.

Page One helps support those people by providing food and assistance to people who need it, in Page County.

Nearly 15 percent of Page County residents live below the poverty level.

People who donate say that everyone should try to be a good neighbor and give back if they are able to.

"If I were in that position then I would want somebody to reach out and help me as well because everybody has hard times and if you have the oppotunity to give back then you should," said super donor, Derrick Wheeler,' it makes me feel good becuase somebody has a full stomach, not just because of me but because other people like me care as well."

If you were unable to give to the Page One food drive but still want to donate, then click on the link on the sidebar of this story to learn how to give.
