Gov. Bob McDonnell Funds Transportation Projects in the Valley

HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Governor Bob McDonnell announces $155 million in matching money for transportation projects across the Commonwealth and here in the Valley.

This funding is on top of the $560 million dollars set aside for projects to improve roads, bridges, and sidewalks.

Augusta, Rockingham and Shenandoah Counties are on the list to receive that money.

More than $5 million will go towards a new road in Augusta County.

Harrisonburg and Staunton will also receive some of the money.
