BRIDGEWATER, Va. (WHSV) -- It is a big time of year for all of those Valley seniors getting ready to graduate college.
Seniors at Bridgewater College are showcasing their senior "exam" thesis across the campus.
Many seniors in the group have been working towards this art project, since their first day stepping foot on campus.
They said, not only did they put their personalities into the art, they also worked to incorporate their artwork around their location. Many students said one of their biggest challenges was making the space their own.
Michael J. Hough is a Professor in the Bridgewater Art Department.
He said they've had a different art show in every building around the campus.
Already this year, the group has had more than 1,000 visitors come to see the art show.
There is more than 15 different art shows around the campus.
Several students said this week is more exciting than graduation.
"This is what we have to show for all we've learned these past four years. I mean, you can go up and get your diploma but how good your show is, that's what you've learned," said Holly Donahue.
Summer Rain Ursomarsarso, another graduating senior said, "I tend to get stuck in a rut sometimes and get comfortable with what I'm doing. So far, I have had to really push myself and get out of my comfort zone."
The show will go on through the end of the week.
Already, 40 pieces have been sold total.
Joanna Caples is another graduating art senior. She said, "Seeing my work lighted and on the wall, I literally stood in this spot and was like, 'Wow!'"
