Harrisonburg, Va. (WHSV) -- Starting in July, voters will have to show a photo ID at the polls. It's something some in the valley aren't too happy about.

Thursday members of Virginia Organizing and Occupy Harrisonburg joined together to voice their concerns about the state's new voter ID law.

It all happened outside of Congressman Bob Goodlatte's Harrisonburg office.

They were chanting and calling for him to address their concerns.

"There's many that feel that this is a way to try to undermine democracy in terms of the electoral process in many jurisdictions and so we have to speak up about that as well. The new voter card that's coming out and so forth," said Stan Maclin, who participated in the demonstration.

The group wants to arrange a face to face meeting with the Congressman, so they can also discuss immigration reform.
