Gypsy Hill Park Hosts Many Free Summer Events

STAUNTON, Va. (WHSV)-- Gypsy Hill Park in Staunton has all these activities to offer, and free events are going on almost every night of the week.

Monday nights are reserved for the Stonewall Brigade Bandstand who play at 8 p.m. Tuesday means 'praise in the park' at 7p.m. Wednesday night means bluegrass bands play in the park at 7p.m. Thursday nights are set aside for jazz music, and every other Friday a family friendly movie will play.

All these events are made possible through the Staunton Parks and Recreation department.

"We have a really good promotions department that does a good job as far as our Facebook page, that we put out to all the citizens of Staunton. and, I think it's just the park sells itself as far as the ambiance and the beauty that's in the park.," said James Corbett, the Staunton Parks and Recreation Manger.

The Gypsy Hill Park events will take place through the end of August.
