HPD Investigating Commercial Burglaries

HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- Harrisonburg Police Department officers responded to three businesses in the area of the 1600 block of East Market Street and Burgess Road to investigate reports of commercial burglaries December 27, 2013.

Police believe the offenses took place between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 2:30 a.m.

The offender in these cases committed property damage and stole items from inside the businesses.

This set of offenses was completed by what appears to be one individual.

The suspect appears to be approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and heavyset and was last seen wearing a tan jacket, jeans, tan boots, and a black beanie.

This is an active investigation and the Harrisonburg Police Department requests that anyone with information pertaining to the case contact the Criminal Investigations Division at (540) 437- 2640.

Anyone with additional information, who wishes to remain anonymous, is asked to call Crime Solvers at 540-574-5050.
