HPD Searching for Identity of Credit Card Fraud Suspect

On July 28, officers with the Harrisonburg Police Department received a report of a credit card fraud that occurred in the 200 Block of Burgess Road.

HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV)-- The victim in the case reported that his credit card number was used in an attempt to purchase items from a merchant in the Harrisonburg Crossing Shopping Center. The victim also reported that his actual credit card had not been stolen, only his card number.

Video surveillance has been obtained of the possible suspect, a woman, at the time of the offense (main photo in this story).

HPD is encouraging anyone in the community who may know the identity of the person in the photo or have additional information on this case, to contact the Harrisonburg Police Department, Criminal Investigations Division, at 540-437-2640

Callers are able to remain anonymous by calling Crime Solvers at 540-574-5050. Tipsters may also text “HPD” plus their tip to CRIMES (274637).
