Habitat for Humanity Event Attracts Business Professionals

STAUNTON, Va. - The Staunton-Augusta-Waynesboro Habitat for Humanity held an event called "Business After Hours".

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of the organization to the local business professionals and eventually recruit some of them as board members.

Yubis Lopez had her house built by the Habitat for Humanity organization.

"That makes me feel like I can help other people for the house and I know they'll feel happy because they have a place for their family," says Yubis Lopez. "They built my house. It's amazing. I love habitat for humanity because they make my dreams come true."

Nearly 100 people attended Wednesday's event.
