WAYNESBORO - The Waynesboro Police Department has charged a Waynesboro man after a fight ended with one person firing a gun. It happened Thursday night at approximately 11:00 P.M. Officers responded to the 1300 block of C Street to investigate a call of a “disturbance with shots fired.” When they arrived they found 29 year old Cameron Philip Hall, in the passenger seat of a work van trying to escape. Officers ordered Hall, who they say was half naked and intoxicated, out of the vehicle at gunpoint. Officers found a semi-automatic handgun in the van which Hall admitted to possessing. Officers determined that he fired the gun one time in the air, while outside, during an argument with a family member.
Officers charged Hall with three misdemeanors, reckless handling of a firearm, discharging a firearm within the city limits and public intoxication. Hall was transported to Middle River Regional Jail. He has since been released on bond.
