Harrisonburg Police Arrest Homicide Suspect

The Harrisonburg Police Department arrested homicide suspect Delano Fitz at 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

Fitz, 27, is wanted on multiple charges

HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- The Harrisonburg Police Department arrested homicide suspect Delano Fitz at 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

He is accused of killing Traman Turner, which occurred on Dec. 24 on Commerce Drive in Harrisonburg.

Fitz is charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.

HPD said in a statement, Fitz surrendered to law enforcement at the advice of his family members.

He is currently held without bond at the Rockingham County Regional Jail.
