HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- A judge set a court date Tuesday for a former Harrisonburg High School student and football player accused of raping a woman at a party in February.
Weylin Holmes will stand trial in front of a jury April 1.
The woman involved said Holmes forced her into a bedroom at the University Fields Complex and raped her, according to police.
Holmes' lawyer requested a deposition from the woman involved in Tuesday's proceedings and also wants more documents from the Commonwealth's Attorney to be available to him.
Holmes' lawyer said confessions from the alleged victim are different, depending on information the Commonwealth's Attorney has.
Holmes faces charges of rape, sodomy and abduction.
