STAUNTON,Va. (WHSV) -- Western State Hospital employees and patients are getting ready for a big move.
The hospital will be moving to a new, modern facility October 29th.
The move will happen in one day and more than two hundred patients will need to be moved.
Those with the hospital say the move is a lot of work, but its worth it in the end.
"I think it'll be exciting for the patients. Unlike the old hospital that we are leaving, every patient will have a private room with a private bath, in this hospital. I think once the patients find out what they have, they'll be quite excited about it," said John Beghtol, the Director of Community Services at Western State.
A public open house for the new Western State Hospital will be September 28th.
