ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) -- Rockingham Memorial Hospital held its 27th annual Bereaved Parents Memorial Tree service Monday

The service is open to anyone who has lost a child due to miscarriage, stillbirth, or early infancy.

Parents hang ornaments from the tree to honor their lost children.

The service provides a community for those affected by forms of child death that are often overlooked.

The tree service is held each year on the first Monday of December.
