HARRISONBURG, Va. -- One valley hotel is warning guests to be alert for bears.

This all comes after finding a mother bear and three cubs outside of the Holiday Inn.

The general manager of the Holiday Inn on East Market Street says he is now starting to distribute handouts to his guests, to warn them about the dangers that comes with the bears.

"Well throughout the weekend while they were here, the Department of Game (and Inland Fisheries) indicated that we should hand out this pamphlet we printed from the website. It talks about black bears, where they are in Virginia, what their habits are like and how to be safe around black bears," said Scott Chico.

The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries also has a video on YouTube to educate people about the dangers.
