Hotels Seeing Extra Business Due to Snow

HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- The snow on the highways is creating some business for hotels in the area as drivers are pulling off the road to stay safe.

The Ramada Harrisonburg is scraping off their sidewalks to prepare for customers. They have not had a lot of reservations Tuesday because of the snow, but some of their customers have chosen to stay another night to wait out the storm. Many people have also been stopping in throughout the day to get a room.

"Truck drivers, anyone who is driving long distances and heading north are not taking any chances by driving further into the snow," said Zubin Ratwani, manager of the Ramada Harrisonburg.

Ratwani has also had a lot of companies calling and making reservations to keep their employees safe.
