HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance will be hosting the Rocktown Wine and Dine Festival on September 7th.
It's a chance for people to enjoy wines paired with food and it's one of a number of festivals that have been in the Valley this summer.
The Holiday Inn in Harrisonburg is listed as the place to stay if you're in town.
They've worked with festivals before.
The General Manager Scott Chico said that festivals, including the Rocktown Beer and Music Festival, have helped business.
Usually when they're directly involved, the Holiday Inn blocks block off 30 to 40 rooms.
This year, with the festival at Turner Pavilion, they haven't blocked off rooms, but expect to have visitors.
"It also helps with our existing business if they're looking for something to do we always have information about the festivals and send them down. I think it just is a good thing for the tourism industry in our town to become more of a festival location, as you said they're becoming big in Harrisonburg, they're becoming big across the nation and there's a big following for festivals so we're excited to be a part of that," said Chico.
The event is also put on by Bluestone Vineyards and Downtown Wine and Gourmet.
It starts at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
