How Happy Are You Where You Live?

STAUNTON, Va. (WHSV)-- Charlottesville is ranked as the happiest American city, while nonmetropolitan West Virginia is ranked as one of the unhappiest.
This leaves the Shenandoah Valley stuck in the middle.

Emily Ford has lived in Staunton for 20 years. She says that she loves living in the Valley and thinks it's the happiest place in Virginia.

"I don't agree with the 'it's regional' of happiness type thing. I think it depends on person to person. And also habits of one. It's not a study that could be done place to place," said Ford.

Which other cities are happy? Some of the other cities that came out at the top are...Rochester, Minn., Lafayette, Louisiana**, and Naples, Fl.
