The Rockingham County Fair's attendance this year may have broken a record.
The weeklong fair wrapped up on Saturday with activities, such as a tractor and truck pull race.
Fair president Michael Gochenour said if the fair has a normal Saturday attendance, the total number of attendees could reach 88,000. This amount would be 4,000 more people than in 2012.
More attendance number means more revenue for the fair.
"It means we can put it back into the fair, to make it better, to change things and I think that's one of the reasons why we keep growing is because we don't sit idle each year and let things stay stale. We try to change things, we try to make it grow," said Gochenour.
A $400,000 poultry museum and complex is underway for 2014. Other changes, could also include a new main entrance, ticket office and fair office.
