NELSON COUNTY, Va. -- Three weeks before he goes on trial charged with the murder of Alexis Murphy, investigators searched Randy Taylor's home.

Multiple unmarked police vehicles were on the side of Route 29, north of Lovingston on Monday morning.

Neighbors said that investigators have been back at the home several times in the past week. At this point, it's not clear what prompted the search.

Attorneys in the case are currently under a gag order that prevents them from speaking with the media.

Taylor has been charged with the murder of then-17 year-old Alexis Murphy, who disappeared on August 3.
