Harrisonburg, Va. (WHSV) Packed parking lots, lines filled with families wanting to see Santa and shoppers focused on finding the best gifts, that's what was seen at the Valley Mall on Monday night.
"I chose the lotions and sprays from bath and body works, it's always a good last minute gift," said Tiny Healy, a holiday shopper.
With a little more than 24 hours left to go until Christmas day, shopping online was definitely not an option for those last-minute shoppers.
"It's nice to get out here and you know, smell the pretzels and be around the people," said Billy McCausland, who is also a holiday shopper.
Shoppers like McCausland may have been one of the nearly 40 million Target customers whose credit card information may have been stolen
He says this time around he used caution by using cash.
"I went in today though, because I felt bad," said McCausland.
For some shoppers there are gifts, money can't buy this time of year.
Janet King is looking forward to passing on an heirloom to her daughters from her grandmother.
"Because my grandmother was very special and she was to my girls," said King, who was browsing for gifts at the Valley Mall on Monday.
Popular last-minute gift items mentioned by shoppers are gift cards, fragrances and clothes.
The Valley Mall will be closed on Christmas day.
If you need to get those last-minute gifts, you still have until 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
