Lights, Camera, Action, in Staunton

STAUNTON, Va. (WHSV)-- It's an independent web series called 'Farm Story'.

Free auditions are being held at the Masonic Building in Staunton. Open auditions started today, but will continue until tomorrow from noon to 6 p.m.

The executive director of the Staunton Creative Community Fund, Christina Cain, says this is not only a great way to put Staunton on the map, but also will help bring in money for the local economy.

"People are going to want to visit here, people are going to want to live here they are going to want to start their businesses and grow their families here," said Cain.

The film is about a New York City family that moves to a small town in Virginia to escape debt and middle-class disasters.

Auditions by appointment will take place Wednesday and Thursday.
