HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- Police in Harrisonburg are investigating multiple commercial burglaries on South Carlton Street.
Police aren't releasing any photos of who they say may be involved.
The businesses hit are the Dairy Queen, Little Caesars Pizza, Arby's and El Rancho.
Boost Mobile, a store nearby, talked about what they do to keep their store safe.
When it's time for Abigail Campana to close Boost Mobile, she has a routine.
"First we do a close down procedure, we make sure everything is in proper order and we lock down everything well," said Campana.
The store is next to Little Caesars Pizza, one of the places broken into.
"It was a real big shocker just because this is such a small area and we haven't heard of any of the situations happening but I'm glad that everything got situated," said Campana.
Co-owner Matt Eberl of Little Caesars Pizza said the people responsible didn't get away with money, but they did damage the inside of the store.
"It is what it is and we're happy no one's hurt. Hopefully they'll catch whoever is responsible for it," said Eberl.
Overall, police say there is at least $1,300 worth of damage at the restaurants.
The manager at Arby's said he realized something was wrong when he went out the back door. He saw that paint was chipped and that there also were dents on the back door.
Thanks to the metal backing, they weren't able to get in, but they did do some damage to the bottom of the door as well.
The shift manager at Arby's also said they saw three people on surveillance cameras with a flash light around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The Dairy Queen manager said it was the same story.
They tried to break in the back door, but couldn't.
With so many recent break-ins, Campana said they're doing what they can to prevent the same thing from happening to Boost Mobile.
"The personnel that lives nearby we just sometimes once in a while come by just to see how the store is doing," said Campana.
Police said the focus of their investigation is the property damage. According to police, the people responsible forced entry into each of the businesses and stole items from inside.
