HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- With the threat of freezing rain and snow on Monday, plenty of back roads and even some main roads could be harder to navigate. Yellow Cab company workers are expecting an increase in calls.

The company puts priority calls first, which include people who have to go to the hospital. There are extra drivers that could be called in, but it will depend on the roads once the weather hits.

Managers say if State Police ask that everyone stay off the roads, that includes cab drivers.

"And that includes us. And no amount of money is worth one's life, so we won't be out there but it will be a judgement call of management. We're just going to have to play it by ear about how to get outside of the city limits, how the road conditions in the city goes, whether or not they keep it plowed," said Clo Rodeffer, the Operations Manager.

Harrisonburg has almost 30 different kinds of snow removal equipment that they can use to plow roads and get rid of ice.

If you're trying to park in Harrisonburg, be sure to park off the street to make plowing easier.
