HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- The holidays are a joyous time of year, but for those struggling to keep food on the table, Christmas can be stressful.
This is the third year Nathan Henderson has helped out with Christmas dinner at First Presbyterian Church in Harrisonburg.
He likes helping because it's fun and he enjoys decorating.
This year he made a long paper chain that goes around the whole room.
His family and friends prepare food and get dinner and dessert ready for tomorrow.
Not only is it a fun activity with his friends, he knows exactly why it's so important.
"We're doing it for people who might not be as fortunate as us to have a nice meal, so we are wanting to do it for them," said Henderson.
He also said that he is definitely going to come to the meal tomorrow and is hoping he gets to help serve the food too.
