Local Fire Company Truck Repaired

AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) -- A company is working on an expensive repair to a Stuarts Draft fire truck on Monday afternoon.

The company who is doing the repairs said fire departments need more recognition for all the service they do.

Code Red Repairs is fixing Tanker 76 from the Stuarts Draft Volunteer Fire Company. The supports for the tank need to be repaired which can be expensive.

The workers at Code Red Repairs know first hand how much money goes into keeping fire trucks on the road which is why they say you can help.

"Money's getting a little harder to come by and the equipment is very expensive so as far as long term giving, if you don't have a place to put your money, you can't find a better place to put than in the rescue service or in the fire service," said Jim Williams with Code Red Repairs.

Send an e-mail to judy@coderedrepairs.net if you're interested in donating money to the organization.
