HARRISONBURG -- DJ Bryant, a James Madison University graduate and football player, made it all the way to Sunday night's Super Bowl.
Bryant graduated from JMU this spring. Bryant was a star player at the university and he signed with the Baltimore Ravens on its practice team. He joined seven other players on the practice squad roster.
Bryant is from Baltimore, but he made an impression on coaches at JMU.
“It's very positive for all of us to see him and to see how well he's doing. I think it's great for the whole James Madison nation to have a member of the Super Bowl champions. It's very rewarding,” said Mickey Matthews, the head football coach at JMU.
He didn't play during the big game, but he was at the Superdome on Sunday night to watch his team win.
