Local Gun Shops React to Supreme Court Ruling

HARRISONBURG,Va. (WHSV)-- Local gun shop employees said they think this new ruling will not really change sales much especially when it comes to people who wish to purchase guns and use them in an unlawful manner afterwards.

"They're not gonna come in here to try to purchase a gun if they're going to purchase one illegally anyways. I feel like most people that come in here are going to know whether or not they can pass a background check or not and what they plan on doing with the firearm after they purchase it," said Jordan Coffman, an employee at the Gun Range LLC.

The straw purchaser's law went into effect after a 5-4 Supreme Court ruling.
