Local Pastor Reacts to Pope's Comments

Pope Francis is coming out saying the church has it's right to express their opinions but cannot interfere with gays, expanding on some comments he made earlier in the summer.

We spoke to a pastor at the Blessed Sacrament in Harrisonburg, who says the pope is being realistic. He says the church cannot focus on one issue or topic, that the church should focus on other issues including poverty, and says the pope's views does not show a change in the opinions of the the catholic church.

"He is connecting with the people, he is seeing things from a different perspective same things, but from a different perspective from the other Pope," says Father Silvio Kaberaia.
